Clara-isms

This kid is really starting to crack me up.

While trying to find a functional car wash (after our third attempt):
Me: I'm not sure where we'll find one.
Clara: Hmm, let me think. Think, think, think. Mama, I have an idea!
Me: What's your idea, cutie?
Clara: Go this way or this way (pointing right and left, the only two available options at the intersection).

When Clara gets upset, she often pretends she's hitting someone (after getting in trouble for actually hitting many times). She's figured out that she gets in trouble for this behavior as well, since the intent is the same. So now after she does it, she immediately says, "I'm throwing. I'm making snowballs." Nice try, kiddo.

After asking for a new favorite drink:
Clara: Chocolate milk is nice and tasty for my mouth.

Overheard at lunch the other day:
Clara: Mama, is your tummy full now?
Me: Yes, Clara.
Clara: Is it full all the way to your mouth?

Clara's "script" when using a toy telephone:
(pick up) "Hello? Nice to meet you. How are you? Hurry, I love you. Bye!" (hangs up) "Whew, that was close!"

After seeing the quantity of hand sanitizer she pumped into her hand:
Clara: Oh no, I took too much!
Me: You took too much?
Clara: No, I took three much!
