me: Hmmm.
A cute girl is on my couch.
I was thinking of making a move.

Kristin: why do you message from four feet away?

me: I even put on some sexy music* to set the mood.
Because I can say things like that.
And it makes me laugh.
I'm so amused by myself.

Kristin: i'm actually considering throwing your laptop out the window

Have I ever mentioned that Kristin hates, loathes, and despises Björk?

Costuming

Clara has decreed that this year's Halloween costumes shall be as follows:

Anna: a bumblebee
Clara: a fairy princess
Mom: a witch
Dad: a ghost

Okay, pretty typical choices for an almost four-year-old, right? But then I got to thinking about it a little more, and I really think these costume suggestions are representative of how Clara views us. Follow along, if you please:

Anna: a bumblebee - annoying and sometimes frightening to Clara.
Clara: a fairy princess - obviously.
Mom: a witch - need I say more?
Dad: a ghost - the one who is only seen at night (well, and weekends too).
