Eating The Thai

It's been a while since we ate the Thai, and they are quite tasty, so we headed over to Chao Phra Ya for Pad Thai. There was an appetizer on their specials list - ground chicken, ground shrimp, and lemon grass formed into a ball around a piece of lemon grass and fried. We decided to order. Sounds a little funny, but tasted quite good!

As we sat down, Kristin pulled out a new sippy cup with a straw. "Check out what she learned today." Clara took the cup and started drinking. She looked like such a big girl! She even successfully drank out of a normal straw, though she pulled a little hard and got a huge shot of water, more than she could handle, that she proceeded to spit out of her mouth on to the table.

It's hard to believe that in two weeks she will be a year old. Her hair is now long enough that we can make a ponytail on top of her head. (Some say she looks like a samurai. Bualee said she looks like a little Thai girl.) It makes her look beyond adorable and people no longer have to guess if she is a boy or a girl.

Perhaps that's what I like most of all.

Man I miss Chao Phra Ya, Thai food doesn't exist here in Uruguay. Wo is me.

I miss Chao Phra Ya too - especially since it was close enough to deliver! And their calamari (and pad thai) is fantastic.

Fortunately, The Frontier does have a decent Thai place.
