A Visit and A Farewell

This afternoon Pat & Jack came by to visit. Was a delight to see them, show off Baby Clara, and chat about happenings. When I went to answer the door, Pat had a pack of Double Stuf Oreos and Jack had a bag of Reese Peanut Butter Cups. Pat had done her homework (this post) and knew to bring goodies when visiting. Kristin was overjoyed as she hadn't had an Oreo since Clara's birth.

We also said farewell to my mother this afternoon. It was wonderful to have her here for the week. She was incredibly helpful in the food department, cooking dinner each night (or taking us out). She also dusted the entire house, which is no small feat judging by the avalanche of dust that came off the pictures downstairs. Not knowing when we'll see her next, it was sad to see her go and look forward to her return.
