Bring on the chocolate
It looks like Kristin survived a pregnancy without chocolate. Due to a mild case of gestational diabetes she had to lay off the sweets. She posted about the experience (click here to read) and gave a list of things she wanted brought to the hospital once Clara was born.
Our friends came through. Pete brought Kit Kats to the hospital. Two days before Clara was born, Sara gave Kristin a box containing "The Seven Days of Chocolate" complete with notes for each day. Bruce & Julie brought their annual Christmas treats (homemade truffles and other goodies; I totally scarfed down the mint chocolate-chip cups) and Diet Coke. And David & Bonnie gave us a big box of chocolate mint cookies.
Even the mother-in-law forwent the traditional flowers and had a pound and a half of Cummings chocolates sent from Utah. Check out a picture of the spoils below. Thanks to everyone who came through!!

She asked for it. We were just doing what she wanted. Think of it this way: you don't have to go out at midnight to satisfy the CHOCOLATE URGE!!
