Tell Me How You Feel

Tonight, as Kristin and I ate dinner, Clara sat gnawing on a piece of apple. It was slightly alarming to see her sitting there, holding on to her own food, and chewing contently for the entire length of our meal. When she dropped her apple, she look down and tried to pick it up again. We're losing our little baby. She's well on her way to toddlerhood.

At one point Kristin had to take a piece of apple away from her. Clara did not approve and communicated the point to her mother in the form of a loud yell. Kristin told me this was not an isolated incident. Take her sippy cup, spoon or anything else she likes away from her and you will hear about it. She's started to demonstrate that strong will about which we've all heard.
