It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas...

This is what the kids' tree looked like just after the girls finished decorating it:

And this is what it looks like two days later, after the Anna destruction machine has had time to do its (her) work:

When an ornament comes down, the rule is that it is replaced on the top of the tree out of Anna's reach. I haven't decorated our big tree yet, but once it's done, that entire room will be gated off. Yay for two-year-olds!

Christmas 2009 Recap

The title says it all...and just a warning, this is major photo overload.

We bought a cheap-o smaller tree this year (since our normal tree is too big for our current small house) and some shatter-proof ornaments for Clara to hang:

Her decorating style involved hanging as many ornaments on one branch as possible. I think this one ended up with eight or nine eventually:

Decorating "gingerbread" (graham cracker) houses:

"What? You won't give me candy or frosting to do a graham cracker house of my own, so go away and let me climb in peace."

Our Christmas Eve tradition: decorating Santa's sugar cookies.

Cute sisters on Christmas Eve:

The big day arrives. To quote Clara: "Santa, Santa, ho, ho, ho!"

We hope everyone had a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
