Redefining the Warm Welcome

As if picking us up from the airport, taking us to lunch, and giving us a place to stay wasn't enough, Uncle Paul and Aunt Ann outdid themselves with what awaited us in our room:
More than a warm welcome, we got a delightfully warm welcome.

P.S. Click here for a cute Clara picture.

Over the river and through the air

Cleared for takeoff, our little family headed to Minneapolis for a week of vacation visiting family, friends, and more family. Now that Clara is mobile, she isn't as content being contained in a small space like she was when we flew to Portland earlier this year. We made it through the first two-thirds of the flight before we started having problems. I was able to pace the aisle for a while, but eventually had to sit down for our descent. Luckily we had a very kind and understanding gentleman sharing the row with us. It was a full flight. Our luck could have been much worse.

This post was brought to you by David, who woke up at 6am to drive us to the airport.
